Bach: Aria “Alles mit Gott und nichts ohn’ ihn”（BWV1127） / Bach Collegium Japan
This is a new piece by Bach, discovered by musicologist Michael Maul in May 2005. Over a flowing basso continuo passage, an absolutely beautiful soprano melody is repeated 12 times with different lyrics. Each stanza is connected by the ritornello of string ensemble. It is an impressive piece that, once heard, is unforgettable. Carolyn Sampson’s plaintive voice is wonderful. #baroque #bach #片山俊幸
