This cantata begins with “O ewiges Feuer, o Ursprung der Liebe,” a festive choral piece with three trumpets and timpani. After a recitative by the alto, the alto aria “Wohl euch, ihr auserwählten Seelen” is sung with a obbligato of a heavenly atmosphere. Here, two flauto traversos are overlaid on two violins with mute in the lower octave to express the blessing of God.
