Movie “Archive”

This movie makes you want to watch it twice. The second time you watch it, you feel sad. The main character, George Almore, is researching AI robots in a remote mountain laboratory. He lives with two old-fashioned robots, “J1” and “J2”. He sometimes talks to his dead wife, Jules, by phone. The reason he can do this is because of a contract called “Archive” that he made with a certain company (Archive Systems). This is a system that allows you to talk to dead people by taking all the “memories” from the brains of dead people and putting them into an AI for a period of three years. Currently, the contract has expired after two years, eight months, and four days, and the deadline is approaching. In the story, a traffic accident scene appears many times. This is the scene when his wife dies and he is the only survivor. Jules was pregnant when she died in the accident. After the accident, he is now working in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. In the laboratory, he secretly (without the company’s permission) developed a new humanoid robot (humanoid) called “J3” that would incorporate the “information” of his wife and “revive” her. To do so, he illegally downloaded the memory data of “Archive Inc.”‘s wife. One day, his roommate, the old robot “J2,” became “jealous” after learning about it and committed suicide by drowning in a lake, an impossible incident. The headquarters in England, unaware of this, constantly called him to hurry up with the progress of his work, unaware of his “plot.” Finally, he completed the humanoid robot “J3.” And he succeeded in installing the “information” of his wife into “J3.” It was the very last moment of the three-year expiration date of the “Archive” contract. One day, “J3” stopped him from answering a last contractual phone call from “Archive”‘s his wife. He forced himself to answer the phone. On the other end of the phone was, to his surprise! His little daughter, who was supposed to have died in a traffic accident along with his wife, says, “Bye, Dad!” and the phone hangs up.
