A cantata from the Weimar period in combination with Franck. The aria “Ach! ich sehe, itzt, da ich zur Hochzeit gehe” is performed by the string ensemble with Corno da Tirarsi. The corno da tirarsi is a slide horn or trumpet. This instrument, however, does not move much except for tracing the melody of the viola, so it is thought that it was not present at the premiere. Harnoncourt’s recording is based on the the version of Leipzig period. The tenor recitative is followed by the soprano aria “Jesu, Brunnquell aller Gnaden” sung only in bass. Although very impressive, another instrumental part may be missing. But Harnoncourt plays it as is. Following the alto recitative, the alto and tenor sing the duet aria “In meinem Gott bin ich erfreut”. This piece also reminds us of the lost instrumental obbligato part. The piece ends with the chorale “Ach, ich habe schon erblicket”.
