Johann Christian Bach: Complete Symphonies / Hanover Band
Christian Bach’s symphonies are more than Mozart’s in terms of their “perfection” and “inspiration”. In fact, some of the melodies that Mozart borrowed from his works can be found here and there, and I sometimes think, “What?” The influence of the Mannheim School can be seen in the melodies with long crescendos (Op. 3 No. 5, Op. 9 No. 2), and the Symphony in G minor (Op. 6 No. 1) is very similar to Mozart’s Symphony No. 25, which is in the same key. #baroque #bach #片山俊幸
