Bill Evans / Waltz for Debby

This is one of the Bill Evans Trio’s most famous records. From the first track, “My Foolish Heart”, the music is superb. The entire album, including the title track and two takes each of “Detour Ahead” and “My Romance”, evokes the best atmosphere. Even the applause of the customers at the Village Vanguard seemed to enliven the performance. You can appreciate also the performance of the first bassist, Scott LaFaro on this record. #jazz #片山俊幸
