Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach: Four Symphonies / Karl Richter

I think this record was the first one of the music by Emanuel Bach. He wrote his latest symphonies around 1776 in the so-called “Empfindsamer Stil” or “Sturm und Drang” style. I was struck by the fact that his style was completely different from that of Johann Sebastian Bach. The first piece in D major reminds me of Mozart’s 25th Symphony. #baroque #bach #片山俊幸
